Duma Collective Is A Communications Agency That Aims To Offer Customised Communication Strategies. Duma Collective (PTY) Ltd is a creative communications agency that services FMCG brands, event productions, agencies, performing artists as well as government departments in South Africa and the rest of Africa. The company offers social media & influencers, with a credible background in social media management; it has attracted various notable entities for assistance with social media. Its experience stems from having worked on international and local ward ceremony stages and some of Africa’s biggest live event productions. With its niche selection of talent, it ensures every brand contact point is carefully strategised to ensure sustainable holistic growth. It provides a 360-degree consultancy service which has gained a reputable track record amongst Africa’s successful urban growth properties and production houses. Duma Collective provides the services of developing, planning and implementing a tailor-made communications strategy designed for each client’s brand.

Sibu Mabena, the founder of Duma Collective with a BA Political Science and International Relations, is a young creative with extensive experience in event production, sponsorship acquisition, performance direction, street and social media marketing. Having worked on several live events and TV shows, her exposure serves as a good creative springboard for a variety of communications platforms from linear and digital, to stages and experiential events. She did the “side hustle thing” whilst building her reputation as “the go-to freelancer” for jobs related to performances, events and social media. She eventually begged for a first real job at VIACOM as the Brand Coordinator (code for Brand Manager) for MTV and MTV Base and was soon after that, headhunted to become the operations manager for a social media agency growing it from a R1 million- grossing business to a R10 million -grossing business in just under 6 months, she did all this whilst building a one-woman operation that clocked its first R1 million in income in 2015.

The company aims to be an innovative and agile industry-leading creative communications agency that attracts and retains accountable, passionate, and reliable talent to produce era-defining work. By collaborating with its clients, it will build sustainable and meaningful relationships to create magic whilst keeping Africa at the center of it all.
