Siki’s coffee Koffee Kafe, located in the heart of Khayelitsha, Capetown, is a true symbol of passion and an unwavering dedication to succeed. Sikelela established himself from the role of dishwasher,to owning a reputable and profitable coffee shop, which has attracted a lot of good attention since its advent in 2016.

The business is growing exponentially and it’s all thanks to Sikelela’s hardworking mentality as well as his experience in the industry. His experience is derived from his time as a dishwasher at Vida e Caffè. The brilliant young man worked his way up, progressing to the position of Barista, and eventually securing a promotion as Store Manager. Sikelele flourished in his line of duty so much that he was posted to London to open a Vida store and train their new staff.

Two years went by in London and eventually Sikelela came home where he continued to work in coffee houses in and around Cape Town. By the time he decided to venture into his own start up company, he knew exactly what he wanted and has not failed to deliver since. Sikelela brought forth a new culture of coffee shops that was unfamiliar to the Khayelitsha community.

While the journey for him kicked off from his mother’s garage, the desire to expand burns deeply inside of him. As any entrepreneur would, Sikelela has experienced some troubles in setting up his business, having had little to no customers at all when he started. However that did not deter him from seeing his vision through. Siki’s Koffee Kafe has gained positive traction and will soon broaden its borders to other parts of Capetown and ultimately the rest of South Africa.
