Muzi Gamede and Mpumi Ndimande’s Telecoms (Pty) Ltd Making Inroads In Fibre & Cabling Network Business! Their M Telecoms (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black youth owned company that was incorporated in 2017 on a 50/50 shareholding. itself to offer comprehensive turnkey solutions, including the planning, implementation, testing, certification and construction of home, mall and business networks.

M Telecoms has approached the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) for a capital funding of R35 million to help it meet its current orders.

“This funding was in line with our mandate of contributing to industrial development by facilitating access to technologically advanced broadband infrastructure networks, which will increase South Africa’s broadband penetration at reduced costs, with a focus on infrastructure sharing, new technologies and increasing competition” the IDC said regarding its support for M Telecoms.

The funding corporation further added that fibre technology such as that employed by M Telecoms, will help facilitate expansion and access to high speed broadband communication to underserved areas.

The company has created 50 jobs in addition to its 144 workforce. M Telecoms has been awarded contracts by Vodacom and SA Digital Villages, a subsidiary of Dark Fibre Africa to lay fibre in South Africa. The contracts are based on a build and transfer model.

“The Vodacom deal on transmission work, is a five year contract that will end in March 2022” the company said.
