Bonang Matheba’s BNG Finds A New Retail Home

Bonang Matheba’s BNG Finds A New Retail Home. South African television presenter and radio personality Bonang Matheba, took to Instagram to announce that her luxury beverage brand House Of BNG will now be available in Checkers stores.

Bonang Dorothy Matheba is a South African television presenter, radio personality, businesswoman, producer, model and philanthropist. Born in Mahikeng, North West, she is known for her flamboyant presenting skills and her signature voice. Bonang is not only a successful media personality but also a successful businesswoman as she is one of the few women in the entertainment industry that have managed to sustain their brand for a long time and to partner with big supermarkets such as Checkers.

In 2019, Bonang Matheba launched her very own luxury beverage brand with the introduction of the House of BNG and its Brut and Brut Rosé Méthode Cap Classiques (MCCs). Bonang’s “loveletter to Africa”, the brand became the country’s favoured celebration partner – from the Presidential Inauguration to Miss SA – and, in the process, ‘Queen B’ also became the first black woman to become a member of the Cap Classique Producers Association.

The House of BNG followed up soon after with the release of its Prestige Reserve MCC, launched at the SunMet, Africa’s biggest and richest horse-race. The House of BNG continues to innovate the category and its unstoppable ascent in the South African luxury beverage market following the release of the Nectar range, one of the first African brands to produce a true sparkling wine in a can.

“The House of BNG was a passion project of mine for a long time. It’s no secret that champagne is my favourite drink, so having the opportunity to make my own MCC was an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on! I’m so excited about the brand’s growth and in its innovation of new products,” said Matheba on the company’s Website.
