Castle Lager Unveils New Label
Evolution is crucial in business and it can take form in many ways. For one of South Africa’s oldest alcohol brands, Castle Lager – a refined label was the way to go.
The iconic brand has been in existence since 1845, when the brewer, Charles Glass arrived in Johannesburg and by the look of its latest innovative strategy, there’s more of Castle Lagers, that’s to come in the future.
Many have argued that, the new changes shouldn’t be regarded as something to write home about, however staunch lovers of the beer, will likely recognise new enhancements on the label of their Castle Lager bottle.
Many of these tweaks were heavily inspired by our strong and distinct South African heritage.

- A few of these changes include, new catchy words such “South Africa’s National Beer”, which replaces the previous “Dedicated to quality”.
2. The layers of gold on the label has also been improved.
3. The fonts have been altered.
4. Upon close inspection, it is easy to notice that the South African flag and a sun emblem is now embedded on the main label.
