16 Year Old Entrepreneur Junior Dyasi Shares How The Pandemic Made Him Focus More On His Sneaker Laundry Start-Up. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a lot damage to business all over the world; some businesses have had to shut down while others are still recovering from the losses they faced. Even through all the negative effects of the pandemic, it has made some other people realise that they need to put in more work in their business.

One such person is Junior Dyasi, who opened a sneaker laundry startup prior to the pandemic called ‘Magnificent Tekkie Laundry’ and when the pandemic hit, Dyasi realised that he needed to take his business a bit more serious as it was helping him and his family. In an interview with eNCA he said, “In 2019 I was struggling to get customers as I was not really realistic in my business, I was just doing it for fun and then Covid-19 came and it made me to think smarter and use my brain. I told myself there is no going back and I must just focus more on my journey, and then I stared telling people I wash sneakers and then I advertised. No one was working because it was like level 5 and then my parents didn’t work, and I said let me help my mom and buy her bread and help her where I can help.”

Dyasi is a young person that came up with a way that was able to help him and his family to stay afloat during the level 5 lockdown as no one in his family was working, he is one of the young people in South Africa that are innovative and come up with ideas to survive instead of complaining. The young entrepreneur also has goals of one day building a huge company that will be able to have a significant impact in people’s lives.
