A 100% Black Owned Agency That Seeks To Bring Positivity In Society. Riverbed Agency is an independent black female owned full service agency that creates whole idea experiences made from and with care. The company has a band of energetic dreamers and realists, who combine industry leading strategy and creative with potent PR experience to define precisely what South African consumers care about in relation to a client’s business, brand, service or task.

Riverbed Agency was founded in 2007 by Monalisa Sibongile Zwambila, who also serves as the company’s CEO. By creating interesting, thought provoking and authentic experiences the company manages to forge long lasting connections between brands and people. As a 100% black woman owned agency, it seeks to go beyond the ideal of diversity to embrace the unique skill and brilliance of an individual.

The company’s consumer centric, ideas led approach allows their work to be relevant and results driven. It has specialized teams that function in harmony with the whole company to create a fully integrated experience for their clients. The company seeks to bring a positive change for their clients, the public and for the economy as this will make the company to grow and reach greater heights.

The agency has managed to secure high profile clients such as Nedbank, Sasol, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Unilever and Bridgestone. The company uses meaningful propositions to execute across different disciplines often with award winning results. Riverbed won South African Campaign of the Year 2020 at the Prism Awards.

The company takes its stance of bringing positivity very serious as they have initiatives that are meant to help others such as the Big Ads For Small Business initiative. The initiative was created because of the extreme pressure that was placed on small businesses during the Covid-19 lockdown as they helped nine small businesses to crash the big ads party. By partnering with some of South Africa’s biggest media and production houses, the company was able to develop campaigns across digital, OOH and radio media to the value of R5 million, all free of charge.
