Drip Footwear Wins The 2021 National Small Business Champions. Drip Footwear Founder Lekau Sehoana took to Twitter to announce that his company has won the 2021 National Small Business Champions. He also thanked the people who have been supporting the brand as he believes he couldn’t have done it without them.

The post read, “To our Employees, Customers, Suppliers and everyone who has been showing us love from 26 July 2019. Thank you, you have helped us to build an Award Winning Company. I’m super humbled to Announce that we are the Winners of the 2021 National Small Business Champions. Ke a leboga” Winning an award in a field that one is in, is something that gives assurance that one is heading in the right direction and is building something that is valuable and creates an impact in people’s lives. It is also a recognition by the industry that one is in, that they are doing a good job and should continue doing such.

Drip Footwear is a brand that always aimed to inspire and instil hope into the minds of young people, through this achievement the company is leading by example and it is giving young people a reason to believe that their dreams are valid and achievable. Since the Drip brand gained commercial success, it has been seeking to partner and grow through different ventures while also maintaining its initial shoe brand, the company has been able to reach this level of success and it seeks to thrive to achieve more so that it can build a generational legacy.

Growing up in an informal settlement of Ivory Park, Lekau Sehoana, didn’t have any shoes to wear. He then saw an old torn sneaker and redesigned it using Denim and Polyurethane. This sneaker became a local hit and led him to making an entry into the shoe making business and exchanging pain for profit , for the next 5 Years of his High School life. A few years later, Drip was born and he built it to be an award winning company it is today.
