H&M South Africa Announces Partnership With Local Lifestyle Brand Called Neimil. H&M South Africa took to Twitter to announce its new partnership with local South African lifestyle brand called Neimil. The brand was founded by Keneilwe Mothoa and Lubabalo Mxalisa.

The post read, “We are proud to announce our partnership with local South African lifestyle brand Neimil, founded by @Neilwe_Nei and @LMxalisa. The brand will be available in house at selected H&M Home shop-in-shops in Sandton City, V&A Waterfront and Menlyn Park from 4 November 2021.”

The company has shown that collaborating with local brand is a viable option for big corporations as most of the local brands bring a unique offering that will distinguish companies like H&M from its competitors. Neimil is a South African based design and lifestyle brand that was founded by Keneilwe Mothoa &Lubabalo Mxalisa in 2018, focusing on interior design, fashion and art. Telling authentic African stories through their shared love for design and photography, merging the two worlds to create uniquely designed hand crafted products that are perfect for the modern space or closet.

H&M HOME is a design-driven global interior brand within H&M Group, offering contemporary decor and home accessories for every style and room. It was first launched online as a home-textile concept in 2009 and has since been extended in many markets through shop-in-shops and online, and in 2018, H&M HOME opened its first standalone concept stores. The assortment ranges from high-quality bed linen and timeless dinnerware to stylish textiles, furniture and lamps.

Through this partnership both companies will be able to share valuable experiences and information as they are both experienced in interior design. This is also a big milestone for Neimil as it is collaborating with one of the biggest retailers in the world. This will give the company credibility as it will be able to get other partnerships through H&M’s endorsement. H&M collaborating with Neimil shows that the local brand has potential to be one of the biggest brands in the world.
