How Thando Thabethe’s Thabooty’s Is Fast Becoming A Leading Underwear And Shapewear Brand In SA! South African actress, TV personality and Radio DJ Thando Thabethe took to Instagram to announce that she will be opening the first physical launch of her underwear and shapewear brand ‘Thabooty’s’. The post read, “It takes dedication to manage a career in TV and radio while also launching the first physical store of @thabootys which I’m so very excited about!! This would not be possible without my education and qualification.”

Thabooty’s is an Underwear & Shapewear brand founded by media personality Thando Thabethe, seeks to change the way women see underwear & shapewear forever. The multi-talented actress revealed her much-anticipated intimate wear called Thabooty’s at a packed Randlords, Braamfontein (Johannesburg) last night, under the dress theme, pyjama chic. Some of the celebrities in attendance included the fitness bunny, Sbahle Mpisane, Somizi Mhlongo and Bontle Modiselle.

According to Thabethe, Thabooty’s marks the beginning of a new era for women of all shapes, sizes, colour and creed – providing the kind of comfort, style and support not currently found in commercial retailers. “I wanted to create something women wouldn’t be ashamed to wear, and something that would meet my functional needs. Whether it was to even out, control or contour, I needed something that wouldn’t roll down my body or make me feel like I was wearing a blanket underneath my clothes,” Thabethe told Zkhiphani.

According to Zkhiphani , Thando’s maiden range, called #IAMWOMAN, celebrates iconic women and she hopes this will see women begin to practice self-love, while reclaiming their bodies and becoming comfortable in their own skin. Thando Thabethe is a South African actress, TV personality and Radio DJ who was the presenter for the television show Thando Bares All on channel TLC and current drive time host on 947. She is Nivea’s first brand ambassador in Africa. In 2019, Thando was named one of Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30.
