How Social Coding Aims To Eliminate The Digital Divide In Rural Communities By 2050. Social Coding is a digital skill training Non-Profit company that focuses on equipping rural high school learners and teachers with the skills, support and infrastructure they need to adopt technology practices in their schools, ensuring that no child or teacher is left behind in the digital revolution.

The company does this by hosting workshops in villages were it finds, develops and helps its partners hire rural tech talent. Through its Tech-based digital training and career programs, the company helps these stakeholders use their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) to empower Smart & Sustainable solutions created and driven by Rural Talent.

Social Coding aims to bridge the gap the rural youth face that prohibits them from being active citizens in society. It facilitates programmes that positively impact the youth’s agency, access and equity. The company’s vision is a world where every young person has the skills needed to choose their own future. All over the world, young people in rural areas are ill-equipped to access and leverage the opportunities provided by a tech-enabled economy.

Social Coding’s mission is to use digital literacy and technology tools such as coding, robotics and virtual reality (VR) to expand socioeconomic inclusion among young people (13 – 33 years old) living in rural communities, helping them leverage these digital skills for a better future.
