Khathutshelo Mufamadi is widely known as the founder of Droppa an app that that allows South Africans to order trucks and bakkies fordeliveries. Here are 10 Things you should know about Khathutshelo Mufamadi.

  1. Khathutshelo Mufamadi was very fond of drawing in school and had in mind to continue doing fine, then he also discov­ered that he had a talent for wood carving.
  2. In 1997 he was chosen as the best stu­dent in wood carving and was invited to rep­resent in the province in a national Arts and Culture Competition.
  3. He mentions that his life as a young artist changed when he met the late John Baloyi.
  4. He became his student at his place in Mashamba.
  5. John inpired him and did not only teach me how to treat and carve the wood, but also how to develop a vision and orientation in life.
  6. In 2003 he attended an additional training programme at the Leshiba Arts and Craft School sponsored by the De Beers Company.
  7. Now his sculptures can be found in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
  8. When he started smaller pieces were bought by tourists from Europe and North Amer­ica.
  9. Aside from wood carving, he would write and perform­ his own poetry in VhaVenda.
  10. He is very fond of tra­ditional music.
