Afrobeats DJ Spokenpriestess Announces Her Partnership With Foschini. South African Afrobeats DJ, Spokenpriestess took to Twitter to announce her new partnership with Foschini, she has released a limited edition t-shirt that can be found in any Foschini store across the country. The post read, “FOSCHINI & SPOKENPRIESTESS, 2021. The limited edition #ROTATIONSHEMIX T-shirt is available in ANY Foschini store in South Africa for R199. Profits of sales (R50) on every T is going towards empowering the Frida Hartley Shelter for Women & Children. Please get one today.”
This partnership between Foschini and Spokenpriestess came as a result of the a song called “Rotation Shemix”, the song is a collaboration between Spokenpriestess, Moozlie, Yung Verbal, Lioness, Phlow, Tamarsha and Crystal Asige. The aim of the song was to celebrate the power of collaboration amongst women. Hence it also resulted in Spokenpriestess to partner with Foschini to release this limited edition t-shirt, which is dedicated to women who are making things happen in their lives and careers.
This is also why part of the proceeds will be given to the Frida Hartley Shelter For Women and Children, which aims to empower, educate and enhance the intellectual capacity for homeless women and improve their confidence so they can find employment and start their own businesses and regain their dignity in society. The shelter provides a home environment where women work together on domestic chores, cleaning, and cooking while receiving training and support to seek employment and independence. It ensures that the ladies regain their human dignity and self-worth during their stay. It can accommodate mothers together with their children, thereby keeping the family together as a unit.
This is a project that is aimed at empowering and inspiring women, this is also the reason the song was done as it conveys a message that when women collaborate and support each other, they have power to make a change in their communities.
