Popular TV Producer Legend Manqele Ventures Into The Wine Industry. South African TV Producer Legend Manqele took to Twitter to announce his new wine store called Ballihoo. The store is located in Umhlanga Durban at the Legacy Yard, he also emphasised that this is a passion project of his as he will be sharing some of the wines and spirits he enjoys.

The post read, “Wines and spirits. My new shop in Umhlanga #Balihoo. It’s been a passion of mine to share some of the wines and spirits I enjoy. I’ll be curating a unique experience for the wine and spirit lover. A passion project located in Umhlanga at the Legacy Yard. Legend is one of South Africa’s most prominent young cultural TV producers, directors and philanthropists. Manqele is not new to the world of entrepreneurship as he founded his own company called The Barleader TV, which is a production company he founded in 2014. He has worked on TV shows such as ‘Dinner at Somizi’s’, ‘Dineo’s Diary’, and ‘Being Bonang’.

With this being a passion project for Manqele, it can be said that he will be fully hands on in order for the business to thrive as he will be venturing into something that he loves and would like to see grow in the near future. The wine industry is very challenging to get into as most businesses have been operating for many years and have most of the market share. Manqele’s approach is different as he is not producing his own wine brand but he is selling brands that are already established therefore making his entrance into the industry a unique one.

Should he decide to launch his own wine brand, he would already have a customer base that supports his shop and would be glad to support his own brand as they already trust the type of wines he will be selling. Manqele aims to give his customers a unique experience as this will distinguish his business from the others and therefore create a loyal customer base.
