SA Entrepreneur Shauwn Mkhize Shares The Reason She Got Into The Football Industry. Venturing into different industries is needed when one wants to challenge themselves or even expand their investment portfolio. This brings about a challenge to the entrepreneur that they need to overcome so that they can also be successful in the new venture.

In an interview with eNCA, South African businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize shared how she got into the football industry. Mkhize said, “You know in construction I’ve done my 20 years, and I think my time has come there, I always like something that is challenging and in football I came by default by the way and it’s my son that loves football and knowing me you know how I support my kids, so my son has been so passionate about soccer since from a young age. It so addictive, you sit in that 90 minutes, the adrenaline of that 90 minutes, you forget about everything that is happening in the world, it’s so fulfilling and so nice.”

Mkhize said that she supported her child’s dream that is why she chose to make his dreams come true. She also found out that she loves the game of football herself and enjoys it. When one is passionate about their business venture it is likely that they will succeed as they will be willing to do the work that most people find difficult or not interesting and this will give them the edge.

It was reported earlier this year that Mkhize had purchased the PSL status of Bloemfontein Celtics and her team Royal AM now plays in the league. Mkhize is determined to make sure that her football club reaches the highest heights in football as this will solidify her legacy in the industry. Royal AM is a South African football club based in Durban, KwaZulu Natal that plays in the PSL.
