In an interview with The Insider SA, Ipeleng Kwadi, founder of Motshotelo Farming Enterprise shared the reason why she decided to start her own farm, she said, “I decided to branch out on my own because I want to be independent, I want to go out there and I want to work so that people don’t have to measure my success with the family’s success.”
Kwadi comes from a farming background where her family owns a farm and she has been exposed to the farming life since a young age. This is how she fell in love with farming as she was helping out in the family farm. Right now Kwadi feels like she is ready to branch out on her own and start her own farming venture as this will make sure that she works hard for herself and get her merits on her own so that people can take her serious as a farmer and businesswoman.
Ipeleng Kwadi also shows that being independent allows a person to be fully responsible for their failures or successes, they do not put the blame on someone else when something goes wrong as they are responsible for overseeing all the operations of their business.
