SA Entrepreneur Carol Bouwer Explains How She Got To Be Part Of Midwest Fashion Week. South African entrepreneur and founder of Carol Bouwer Bags, Carol Bouwer explained how she got to be part of Midwest Fashion Week. She said this in an interview with Newzroom Afrika.
She said, “It was truly by accident I mean when they told me that we’re like for you to be involved, I was like I don’t know how I can contribute, this already sounds fabulous without me, and I don’t necessarily do fashion and they we like well we would like the bags to be part of this showcase.”
Bouwer continued to say, “… and we think the narrative of why they were created and what they mean and especially because you are not a designer yet you come up with these drawings that have to be improved upon and then your designers are trying to decipher what you were trying to tell with what you are creating and the factory has to manufacture this and hope that it what you wanted to say, because you like to be a part of this curatorial journey we think that you should be showcasing. They arranged for me to sit down with Benny Martin in New York about how I could be involved.”
