SA Entrepreneur Mogau Sesheone Details How She Founded ‘The Lazy Makoti’. Many people are stuck in careers where they are not happy and they don’t find fulfilment, The Lazy Makoti founder Mogau Sesheone was also in this situation until she left her profession in the financial industry to pursue her dreams of being a chef.
In an interview with Kaya Fam, she detailed how she founded ‘The Lazy Makoti’. She said, “… Being unhappy, feeling like you have the wrong boss who just doesn’t understand you and the general a happiness that I got once I did start giving these cooking classes, cause that’s how The Lazy Makoti started. I just started giving cooking classes and my weekends became that. This was just basically a hobby and on weekends that’s what I do and I found joy in it and when people started paying for it, I was like ohh maybe this is a thing, you could earn some sort of living.”
The Lazy Makoti is a South African platform that celebrates food and it’s ability to bring people together and create memorable experiences hosted by Chef Mogau Seshoene. Mogau takes patrons through the continent’s much loved and treasured recipes and cuisines in a manner that aims to preserve culture and bring new excitement to Africa’s cuisine.
