Skinny Sbu Socks Founder Sibusiso Ngwenya Explains Why His Business Failed After A Few Years Of Success. Entrepreneurship is a venture that involves a lot of risks, one can not be sure that their business is going to succeed, they just have to do their best to try to make it succeed. In an interview with Trending SA, South African entrepreneur and founder of Skinny Sbu Socks Sibusiso Ngwenya explained why his business failed after a few years of success.

He said, “So I’m one of those guys who was selling socks in a paper bag and the following day I was on CNN, the following day I had multiple investors and I had a business that was put on my lap. So after that 4 years really of being in that high, I really wanted more of that success without working hard for it because my very first success was brought by media. So everything came fast and I thought that’s how business works but business is a lot of hard work, business is consistently.”

Ngwenya is an entrepreneur that was able to identify the problem that was causing his business to fail, he therefore sought the help he needed in order to turn the business around for it to reach the success it has reached today. Many entrepreneurs tend to be in denial about their business failing and tend to wait until it is too late to fix anything, Ngwenya didn’t waste any time as he sought help from his family and business mentors so that his business can get back on track.

Ngwenya also highlighted the importance of mental health as an entrepreneur as he says most of the time entrepreneurs do not realise that they have to take care of themselves and their mental health as they are the engine of the business and if their mental state is not okay, their business won’t be functioning well as they won’t be able to cope with the stress that comes with running a business.
