Founder Of Siwela Wines, Siwela Masoga Shares How Much Her Initial Investment Into Her Business Was. Founder of Siwela Wines, Siwela Masoga took to Twitter to share what her initial investment into her business was. She shared that she invested R30 000 initially and also shared how investing in one’s business never stops as she is still spending money on hers.
The post read, “My first investment into my business was R30K which I borrowed as a loan. It did not do much but covered some of the legal costs. This is after I had taken some cash from my salary and savings for months to cover other costs. It is 4 years later and we are still spending money.” Masoga also highlights that when one has a passion for the business that they want to enter, they should not be discouraged by not having capital to start their business. However they should start looking for ways that they can attain the capital they need to start their business. Most of the time successful entrepreneurs have big ideas and they do not have enough capital to make the ideas a reality but they find ways that they can raise the capital so that they can build their business ideas.
Masoga took out a loan of R30K in order to finance her business, this is not the only measure that she took to build her brand as she was also using a part of her salary and savings to cover business costs that came up. Entrepreneurs need to put themselves in a position where they can raise the capital to start their business as Masoga did. She made sure that she put herself in a position to qualify for a business loan by having good credit, she also put herself in a position where she was saving money from her salary.
All these smart decisions gave her a good foundation of capital to start her business, if she had not done this she would not have been able to build her business as businesses need money in order for them to start, function and scale properly.
