SA Football Club Maritzburg United Announces Partnership With Bundesliga Team Arminia. South African football club Maritzburg United took to Instagram to announce its new partnership with Bundesliga team Arminia Bielefeld. The post read, “We are proud to announce our partnership with Bundesliga team Arminia Bielefeld @arminiaofficial . Welcome to our #cityofchoice #WeareUnited”
The clubs stated that this partnership will consists of the clubs sharing information and resources to better their teams. Digital trainings and coach education are the main parts as well as the exchange of knowledge in various areas. “For us, this cooperation is the first step towards connecting Arminia Bielefeld internationally with people who love football,” Bielfeld vice-president Maurice Eschweiler told Bundesliga. “Despite the great distance and the difficult situation caused by the worldwide Corona pandemic, we’ve already been able to make a lot of difference with various campaigns and bring a lot of joy to the children and young people in South Africa, train young talents and coaches in this football-mad country.”
Arminia Bielefeld, is a German sports club from Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. Arminia offers the sports of football, field hockey, figure skating and cue sports. The club has 12,000 members and the club colours are black, white and blue. “This exchange on a sporting, cultural and especially human level is a great opportunity for all involved and will certainly produce many moments and experiences of great value. We are very much looking forward to what we will experience and move together in the coming months.” Eschweiler added.
