Entrepreneur Siya ‘Slikour’ Metane Announces Plans Of Launching A Music Distribution Start-Up. South African entrepreneur and founder of Slikouronlife Siya ‘Slikour’ Metane has announced that he will be launching a new music distribution startup in a few months called SOLDistro, he seeks to provide a platform for musicians to be able to get their music to reach their target audience.

The company took to Twitter to make the announcement, the post read, “In a few months #SlikourOnLife will be launching a subsidiary company ‘SOLDistro’, a music distribution service. We really hope to make a difference in music with dedicated artists that are hungry to WORK. Make yourself, and we’ll point you in the right direction.”

This is a subsidiary to the already established Slikouronlife brand, this association with the brand will bring a lot of credibility to the music distribution platform as Slikouronlife has been proven to be a brand that can deliver results and has done a lot to contribute to the growth of documenting South African Hip Hop history. Creating a distribution company that is dedicated to making sure that they support artists who are working hard to make sure that their business side of the music is handled in a fair and transparent manner is something that Slikouronlife wants to do.

SlikourOnLife is an Urban (hip hop) publication catering for music fans through music; video; artist interviews; exclusive downloads & event coverage connecting people through culture. The company was launched by rapper and media personality Siya Metane, the company’s website averages between 200 000 and 250 000 unique visitors a month. This shows that the company can reach to a lot of people and therefore working with their platform will give musicians a lot of exposure. This is crucial to upcoming musicians as they want their music to be accessed on reputable digital music stores.
