Wetility Founder Vincent Maposa Explains How His Company Brings Energy Independence To South African Start-Ups. In an interview with Multichoice Group, founder of Wetility Vincent Maposa explained how his company is brining energy independence to South African startups. Energy can consume a lot a the a startups funding, this is due to the electricity shortages that the country experiences.

He said, “We bring energy independence to your home and small business through our hybrid Rooftop solar technologies, how it works is that during the day the sun charge the battery and powers the home for about 6 to 8 hours, when that’s drained the system switches over to the grid. Regular power outages can rise in costs, making it tough for businesses out there.”

These shortages force startups to rely on alternative sources of energy that some may have not financially planned for which causes the company to use funds that were not allocated for energy. Wetility seeks to help businesses stay on their budget by offering a once off purchase of their solar system that can last up to 8 hours, this way when there is a power outage, startups will not have to worry about alternative power sources that costs more than they should.

Wetility is a company that consists of a team of visionaries, entrepreneurs, engineers and financial experts who are passionate about innovative energy solutions. It believes that it is here to harness the sun’s power with purpose, introducing clients to a hybrid solution that works seamlessly and in tandem with their current power options.

Wetility aims to use the sun as a power source which means that they are also playing a part in taking care of the environment as they are not using coal or other resources that are not environmentally friendly to produce energy.
