Founder Of Fourty Four Lager Vusi Radebe Announces Partnership With Tops At Spar. South African entrepreneur and founder of Fourty Four Lager Vusi Radebe took to Twitter to announce that the alcohol startup has partnered with Tops at Spar. This means that the local beer brand will now be available at Tops at Spar in Tsakane Mall.

The post read, “FourtyFour Premium Lager Now available at @TOPSatSPAR Tsakane mall!!! Happy FourtyFourFriday #TasteTheFuture” This local bear brand has been growing since it was established, the company not only made sure that they create a good social media presence for brand but they are also creating a good physical presence of the brand in prominent liquor retail stores. This partnership will help the Fourty Four Lager brand get exposure to the market that the store caters to, this way it is building a solid business partnership with Tops at Spar and if it does well they can also get deals to supply more stores.

The company is only two years old but it has managed to surprise a lot of people with the way it is growing especially as a black owned alcoholic beverage. It is known that penetrating the alcohol industry as a person who doesn’t have a lot of money or who is not well connected in the industry can bring a lot of challenges, this is because the industry is dominated by wealthy white people who have had the large share percentage of the market for a long time. This is also why it is difficult for newly formed alcohol brands or general beverages to get any shelf space in major retailers.

So if a brand aims to succeed in this industry it has to think outside of the box and come up with unique ideas that will make it stand out from its competitors and attain a customer base before approaching retailers. This will give them a negotiating advantage and will give them more chances of being approved for the deal because of the following and demand it has built for itself.
