Hudaco Industries Announces That It Has Acquired South African Domestic Appliance Start-Up CADAC. Hudaco Industries has announced its acquisition of South African startup CADAC. CADAC is a South African commercial and domestic appliance company that has been in the business for about 70 years.

“We are optimistic about CADAC, its growth potential and the contribution it will make to our group. It is everything Hudaco looks for in an acquisition: a brand well known in South Africa, distributing an extensive range of high-quality products in the southern African region, with good growth potential under Hudaco leadership.” Hudaco said in a statement. CADAC is headquartered in Johannesburg and it markets a wide range of outdoor leisure and patio products designed for durability, portability and convenience.

“We believe that there’s a good opportunity for growth for us, we see that these products are what’s needed in South Africa with our electricity supply problems and in the rural areas,” CEO of Hudaco Graham Dunford said in a statement. “We are really excited about this product. This is everything that Hudaco wants to be and where Hudaco is. It’s a good quality branded product, it’s a household name … We are really excited about what Cadac is going to bring to Hudaco.” Dunford added. Hudaco Industries is a South African group specialising in the importation and distribution of highquality branded automotive, industrial and electrical consumable products, mainly in the southern African region.

Hudaco businesses serve markets that fall into two primary categories. The automotive aftermarket, power tool and fasteners, data networking, security and communication equipment businesses supply products into markets with a bias towards consumer spending whilst the bearings and belting, electrical power transmission, diesel engine, hydraulics and pneumatics, specialised steel, thermoplastic fittings and filtration businesses supply engineering consumables mainly to mining and manufacturing customers.
