The Blue Train Is Back In Business!

Lovers of all things travel, were filled with excitement when president Cyril Ramaphosa permitted travelling, across boarders, including various long distance transport modes, such as the luxurious blue train, which has been operating since the year 1946. However, the operations has been put on hold since March 2020, before the lockdown regulations commenced.

The effects of the corona pandemic sprinkled down to many business sectors, including transportation. One such business is the Blue Train. However, its all systems go, as the luxury train will reportedly be back on the railway on 1 November 2020.

The cheapest ticket starts from a little over R12,000 per person for a two night stay. The mentioned figure might be too high for some, but for others they might consider taking advantage of the reopening special, because previously, during this time of the year, the cheapest ticket was at a rate of R24,000 in high season.
