SA DJ Mark Stent Launches Platform To Help Empower South African Musicians. South African DJ and entrepreneur Mike Stent took to Instagram to announce the launch of his own platform called Maus Track, the aim of this platform is to empower South African musicians so that they can be able to track their royalties.

The post read, “So many months of work, so many meetings, so many hours of passion for the cause, dedication and commitment to get the dream of @maustrack realised. Thank you to my business partners @jarrod_assenheim and @davidgreshamrecords – without you, we wouldn’t be here. And to all artists out there, no matter who you are, we’ve created a way for you to take back control and track ALL royalties due to you – all through the app. It’s easy, it’s transparent and it’s simple. You can start today. Enjoy finding out all that’s owed to you, and I’d love your feedback on @maustrack.”

Maus Track is on a mission to make sure that no artist ever gives up on their dream of making music. It understands now how hard musicians work to make good music, but often their royalties just don’t match their effort. That’s because there’s been no accurate way to track one’s broadcast royalties and see how much they’re potentially owed. MAUS (Music Audit Usage System) is a simple, technology−based platform that gives musicians the tools to take control of the economics of their music career. Using the power of MAUS technology, the company takes the hassle out of registering music, tracking and managing royalties.
