SA Entrepreneur Lekau Sehoana Reveals How Many Billboards His Start-Up Managed To Secure Throughout The Country. South African entrepreneur and founder of Drip Footwear Lekau Sehoana took to Twitter to share how many Billboards the startup has managed to secure. He also shared how the Billboards are protected in the township, where people usually vandalise Billboards. He believes this shows that people in the township love the brand and respect it as it is giving inspiration to young people in that environment.
The post read, “On this picture there’re a few First, our 1st Billboard in Ivory Park, our 1st Company car and my 1st time on a Billboard. Well, I was on a Billboard to introduce myself and the Brand to my hood. I was still the only Employee. Driver, Social Media, Packaging, etc. And we grew. Now we have 80+ Billboards around the Country.” Billboard advertising is very expensive as this offers a lot of exposure as a billboard is big, colourful and can attract the attention of a lot of people and they are usually placed in an area where there is a lot of activity. This means that anyone who chooses to use a billboard to advertise, they will be receiving a lot of exposure to different people.
For Sehoana’s startup to achieve having more than 80 Billboards in the country shows how much the startup has grown over the last few years. Sehoana has a managed to brand the company in a way that it is widely accepted by South Africans and this shows as the company’s Billboards rarely get vandalised. “Billboards get stolen ko Kasi, but mine was protected by everyone. Even by the Nyaope guys who rampage Ivory Park. But look now!!! No matter circumstances you find yourself in, please Start. Registering a Company costs R175. If it’s your Dream, please do it. See you at work!!!”
