Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Officially Launches In South Africa
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Officially Launches In South Africa. Singer and entrepreneur Rihanna had announced that her Fenty Beauty Brand would be expanding to Africa as it continues its global growth. Since the announcement the brand and its products have been officially launched in African countries such as Kenya and Zimbabwe and now it has also officially launched in South Africa.
The brand was launched on the 26th of May in Johannesburg, the launch was attended by a few of South African celebrities such as, Candice Modiselle and Linda Mtoba. The brand was launched in partnership With Edgars and the Fenty products will be available from the store. Edgars is a Johannesburg-based chain of stores present all over Southern Africa. The department store was previously selling clothing, shoes, homeware & beauty and under new leadership has recently shifted its focus to mass-market fashion and beauty products.
Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty & Fenty Skin after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty—and still seeing a void in the industry for products that performed across all skin types and tones. Starting with Fenty Beauty foundation, face primer and Gloss Bomb, she launched a makeup line “so that people everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.
Fenty Beauty products are designed to feel lightweight, even as they deliver buildable coverage that effortlessly layers, to ultimately “make skin look like skin.” Rihanna creates makeup to inspire: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with,” she believes. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
