Faithful To Nature Reflects On Being The First African Retailer To Become B Corp Certified

Faithful To Nature Reflects On Being The First African Retailer To Become B Corp Certified. Faithful Nature took to LinkedIn to announce and reflect on being the first African retailer to become B Corp certified.

The post read, “We’re proud to announce that Faithful to Nature is the first retailer on the African continent to become B Corp certified! A B Corp certification, awarded by non-profit B Lab, identifies organisations who believe in incorporating better business practice in everything they do – from operations to staff to environmental and customer impact. This certification means our transparency, accountability, sustainability and performance standards meet those required for using business as a force for good.”

Faithful to Nature gives South Africans the option to buy genuinely natural and organic products online. The company believes everyone has the right to know exactly what they are putting into their shopping bags and bringing into their homes. That’s why it became one of the first companies in the world to create a strict ingredient policy that ensures full transparency and no compromise. It carefully checks the ingredients of every product before it sells it and it also discloses full ingredient lists for every product sold.

The post continued to say, “To have achieved this level of proficiency throughout our organisation brings us one step closer to our goal of paving the way for businesses throughout South Africa, and Africa, to inspire change and encourage a mutually beneficial relationship between profit and practice, because the two are not mutually exclusive.”

B Lab is transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. A leader in economic systems change, its global network creates standards, policies, and tools for business, and it certifies companies — known as B Corps — who are leading the way. To date, the company’s community includes over 5,000 Certified B Corps in 74 countries and 150 industries, over 10,000 benefit corporations, and more than 200,000 companies manage their impact with the B Impact Assessment and more than 25,000 with the SDG Action Manager.
