Jacaranda FM Opens Entries for Fifth Her Perfect Pitch Competition With Over R2 Million in Prizes

Jacaranda FM Opens Entries for Fifth Her Perfect Pitch Competition With Over R2 Million in Prizes. Jacaranda FM has launched the fifth edition of its Her Perfect Pitch campaign, inviting female entrepreneurs from across South Africa to compete for more than R2 million in prizes, business support and media exposure.

The annual entrepreneurship initiative, now supported by First For Women, coincides with Women’s Month and aims to provide women-led businesses with opportunities to grow through advertising, mentorship and professional development.

Entries are open from 3 to 16 August 2026, with participants required to complete an online application through the Jacaranda FM website. The application process includes questions about the business model, vision and unique selling points, as well as the submission of financial statements.

The overall winner will receive R500,000 worth of advertising on Jacaranda FM, a professionally produced radio advertisement and digital promotion across the station’s platforms. The prize package also includes R20,000 in cash from First For Women, together with tailored business support covering business model development, research consultation, branding, digital strategy and public relations.

The first runner-up will receive R100,000 worth of Jacaranda FM airtime and R15,000 in cash, while the second runner-up will receive R100,000 in advertising and R10,000 in cash. The remaining seven finalists in the top 10 will each receive R100,000 worth of advertising on Jacaranda FM.

Jacaranda FM Managing Director Vuyani Dombo said the campaign continues to highlight the achievements of women entrepreneurs while supporting business growth.

“For five incredible years, Her Perfect Pitch has stood as a powerful testament to the brilliance, resilience, and economic potential of South African women,” he said.

First For Women Executive Head Jenny le Grange said the company is pleased to support an initiative that recognises the contributions of women in business.

Following the close of entries, the top 30 applicants will be invited to submit a two-minute video pitch and attend a networking session with entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

From that group, 10 finalists will be selected to present their businesses during a live pitch at the Jacaranda FM studios in Johannesburg before a panel of judges.

The winner and the remaining top three finalists will be announced at a Her Perfect Pitch event on 11 September 2026.

Now in its fifth year, the campaign continues to provide female entrepreneurs with access to business resources, mentorship and national exposure while creating opportunities to promote and expand women-led enterprises across South Africa.
