Cape Town StartUp VoiceMap Announces Its Partnership Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show

Cape Town StartUp VoiceMap Announces Its Partnership Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show. Cape Town based startup VoiceMap took to LinkedIn to announe that it has partnered with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to launch a VoiceMap tour chronicling the events of the January 6th insurrection in Washington DC.

The post read, “We have an exciting new publisher: The Daily Show with Trevor Noah! They’ve just launched their own VoiceMap tour chronicling the events of the January 6th insurrection in Washington DC. Highlights on this satirical self-guided walk include “The Willard Hotel Coup-mand Center”, “The Battle of Little Muffin Top” and “The Mike Pence Pre-Memorial Gallows”. Download it free and listen in DC using GPS autoplay, or go to voicemap.me/thedailyshow to armchair travel any time, with photographs of stops along the route.”

VoiceMap takes stories beyond the screen. It papers them to walls, hangs them over statues, and plants them neatly in public parks. Then, when clients come along, there they are: reflections on the soul of LA, murder on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, nostalgia for the vanishing hutongs of old Beijing, and much more, by storytellers and passionate locals all over the world. All they need is the company’s mobile app for iPhones and Android devices. It uses their location to play audio automatically and includes offline maps.

The company built VoiceMap to open up a medium with unique immediacy. When people tell the right story at the right time, they can change how other people look at familiar places as easily as their perceptions of somewhere new. The company’s tools are easy to use and its team of editors delights in bringing new stories out into the world, whether they’re draped, painted, pinned or planted.
