Google Wallet Launches In South Africa. Google Wallet has a officially launched in South Africa in order to help people with their digital payments. The platform has also been launched in countries such as Moldova,Qatar and Iceland. Google Wallet is currently available in 45 countries and regions.

Google said that customers at partner banks including FirstRand Bank, Discovery Bank, and Nedbank can make contactless payments using their Android and WearOS devices. Google Wallet is a secure & private digital wallet on Android that gives clients quick access to payments cards, passes, tickets, keys, or IDs that they choose. Users can use many of the items in their wallet with other Google apps, like Gmail, Calendar, and Assistant. They’ll provide notifications, alerts, and other info related to their tickets, passes and more.

Clients can use their phone or smartwatch to tap to pay in stores, board a plane, ride transit, attend an event, they can also use their loyalty card at their favorite merchants, display their COVID-19 vaccination info and start their car. To add a new card or pass, users can tap the Add to Wallet on the home screen. On websites and apps with an “Add to Google Wallet” or “Add to Google Pay,” they can save items to Google Wallet as well.

The Google Pay app is now the Google Wallet app. This change is to simplify how users store and use cards and passes. Google Wallet is a secure and private digital wallet that gives users quick access to payment cards, passes, tickets, keys, or IDs that they choose to store on it. Google Pay is how users easily pay for purchases online, in apps, and when they tap to pay wherever Google Pay is accepted.
