Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions And TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa Join Forces To Launch A Road Safety Education Project For Primary School Learners. Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions and TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa have joined forces to launch a road safety education project for primary school learners.

According to Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions, each year, road traffic crashes cause nearly 1.3 million preventable deaths and an estimated 50 million injuries – making it the leading killer of children and young people worldwide. Receiving road safety education at a young age is globally recognised as one of the most effective ways of providing youngsters with road safety knowledge. This education plays a vital role in shaping the attitude and behaviour of children, ensuring they become responsible drivers, passengers, pedestrians and cyclists.

The project, aimed at promoting awareness of and educating learners about the importance of road safety, will be managed by the Road Safety Partnership SA (formerly known as GRSP SA), and is being rolled out at four primary schools in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, this year. Unitrans is a company that designs, implements and manages bespoke supply chain solutions. The company’s services include transportation, warehousing, mining and agricultural services, freight forwarding and clearing, and supply chain consulting. Unitrans is a subsidiary of KAP Industrial Holdings Limited; an investment company with a portfolio of diverse manufacturing and consumer businesses.

TotalEnergies is a major energy player, which produces and markets fuels, natural gas and low-carbon electricity. The company’s 100,000 employees are committed to better energy that is safer, more affordable, cleaner and accessible to as many people as possible. Active in more than 130 countries, its ambition is to become the responsible energy major.
