Gert-Johan Coetzee Partners With Vodacom And Samsung SA. South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee took to Instagram to announce that he has partnered with tech giants Vodacom and Samsung SA for a bespoke fashion, music and tech collaboration in celebration of his new collection.
The post read, “In this new Spring/Summer ’22 Collection i used the rich symbolism behind the sunflower against the African sunset to emphasize the importance of always following the sun in persuit of great horizons. Also dubbed “the happy flower”, it reminds us to seek out positivity and strength in all our endeavours and personal persuits.”
The post continued to say, “My translation of the sunflower in this collection relays memories of my early childhood of vast lands filled with bright yellows and greens against a canvas with brush strokes in hues of reds and blues, especially seen as the sun sets over the African sky. The sunflower encapsulates everything i stand for: happiness, unity and constant inspiration to face the sun and to see the positive in everything around us.I’ve joined forces with tech giants @vodacom and @samsungsa for an exclusive, bespoke fashion, music and tech collaboration to celebrate my new collection.@zebrasquare001”
