Shudufhadzo Musida Announces Her Partnership With Panda To Destigmatise Mental Health Disorders

Shudufhadzo Musida Announces Her Partnership With Panda To Destigmatise Mental Health Disorders. South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida took to Instagram to announce that she has partnered with Panda, a mental health support app, to become one of its ambassadors.

The post read, “It is mental health awareness day and I am so excited to announce my partnership with @pandamentalhealthapp to bring #mindfulmondays back to you. Did you know that it is estimated that almost 1 billion people suffer from some form of mental disorder? Mental health is a silent pandemic that has knocked so many of us off our feet but more often than not, we don’t know where to find support. A scary stat that made me realise how severe this issue is, is that almost 1 person commits suicide every hour of every day in South Africa alone. The problem is that so many people dont know where to find support. I’ve found comfort in a new mental health app called Panda which aims to make mental healthcare accessible to all.”

Through this partnership, Shudu will continue to advocate for mental health by extending her Instagram #MindfulMondaysto the Panda app. Her followers will have access to free talks on topics including, but not limited to, how to start individual mental health journeys, where to find the right care, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, the power of support groups and community, and the state of mental health in South Africa.

The post continued to say, “A lot of the traditional interventions out there, support you at a moment of distress when things just feel a little too overwhelming. With Panda, you can exercise your mental health regularly vs waiting for things to get worse before you start to pay attention. It is imperative now more than ever to prioritize mental health care and make it more accessible. Sign up to Panda using my promo code “ShuduxPanda” to unlock 6 free chat support sessions with a registered counsellor.”

Panda is on a mission to democratise mental health and well-being by enabling access to the right care, at the right time. In the Panda app, clients will be able to anonymously access: The Bamboo Forest, where they can engage in live sessions with peers for support as well as with mental health experts to better understand a wide variety of mental health topics.
