BCX Partners With Twoobii For Skylink Satellite Service

BCX Partners With Twoobii For Skylink Satellite Service. Technology group BCX has partnered with Twoobii to enable businesses, merchants and consumers to benefit from seamless voice and data connectivity, with speeds from 2 Mb/s to 20 Mb/s, through its Skylink very small aperture terminal (VSAT) Access.

“BCX selected Twoobii to ensure it can offer multiple advantages including rapid deployment and immediate service activation upon installation, plus complete independence from third-party or terrestrial infrastructure,” says BCX Wireless Solutions managing executive Neo Phukubje.

“The success of our partnership with BCX underlines the suitability of our Twoobii Smart Satellite Services as a white-label solution for satellite connectivity providers. By leveraging the power of Twoobii in this way, BCX can now deliver an exceptional business-to-business offering under their Skylink VSAT Access brand,” adds Q-KON Africa and Twoobii account director: key accounts Hendrik Bezuidenhout. Q-KON Africa will provide engineering support by using full end-to-end access to ensure optimum customer service delivery. With satellite uptime availability at 99.5%, Skylink VSAT Access is a dependable offering for use either in day-to-day operations or during emergencies when other systems have been degraded or disrupted.

The service, optimised for off-grid users with no access to mainstream long-term evolution, fibre and microwave networks, as well as those needing a solution during continuing loadshedding disruptions, has been engineered as a backup to existing terrestrial services and is almost infinitely scalable to allow businesses to connect multiple remote branches into their networks. Skylink, with 100%, all-Africa signal coverage and support of both voice and point-of-service services, unlocks an innovative solution for a wide range of industries, including retail.

“BCX believes that its full-service model represents the future of Smart Satellite Services in South Africa. We are delighted to have partnered with Q-KON Africa and to be able to use their Twoobii solution,” says Phukubje. “This next-generation platform and access to high-throughput satellites ensures we can deliver the connectivity, speed, and value our customers expect, including equipment repair and replacement, support services and uncapped Internet over satellite access.”
