AURA Announces Its Partnership With Memeza Shout Crime Prevention. AURA is incredibly proud to have partnered with Memeza Shout Crime Prevention. The company will be sponsoring 300 mobile panic application licences to victims of gender-based-violence through the MeMeZa network.
Founded in 2012, MeMeZa Shout Crime Prevention specialises in providing affordable, innovative Connected Community Safety Technology, with a special focus on the most vulnerable people in society. Through well-established industry partnerships MeMeZa offers a first of its kind, public safety solution. MeMeZa’s value proposition is based on enabling private and public partnerships.
“Between April and June 2022, 9 516 rape cases were opened in South Africa. Beyond that, 855 women and 243 children were killed. Gender-based violence (GBV) is an ever increasing social ill in our society,” says Elmarie Pereira, COO of MeMeZa Shout. “Only through partnerships and working together can we bring a stop to GBV and make our families safe. MeMeZa Shout looks forward to growing an impactful partnership with AURA, as only together can we make lasting change.”
