African E-logistics Platform Jetstream Raises $13 Million Pre-series A. Ghanaian e-logistics platform Jetstream has announced that it has managed raise and secure $13 million in pre-series A funding from Venture Capital firms such as Alitheia IDF, Golden Palm, PROPARCO, W Fund and Octerra Capital.
Jetstream said in a post on LinkedIn, “Now more than ever, our customers’ growth hinges on their ability to finance their supply chains and build trust with their trading partners. With the support of African and supply chain investors, we’re doing more to help them do those two things. More capital for trade finance, and better technology tools to improve supply chain visibility.”
Alitheia IDF said in a statement, “Congratulations to our portfolio company, Jetstream Africa, on successfully raising $13 million in debt and equity funding. Alitheia IDF participated in the equity funding round as a pre-existing investor doubling down on our support for the groundbreaking company. This new investment will enable Jetstream to expand into new countries and continue to develop its technology platform, which vertically aggregates fragmented logistics and financing vendors operating within Africa cross-border trade.”
Led by co-founder and CEO, Miishe Addy, Jetstream’s revenue grew by 48% and active customers by 102% within the past year. The company is also capitalizing on trade policies like AfCFTA to facilitate more inter-continental trade and unleash Africa’s full potential through trade.
