Famasi Africa Raises Pre-seed Funding To Build Pharmacy Infrastructure In Africa

Famasi Africa Raises Pre-seed Funding To Build Pharmacy Infrastructure In Africa. Famasi Africa has announced that it has raised pre-seed funding in order to build pharmacy infrastructure in Africa. This new round of funding will enable the company to build the necessary infrastructure for itself and others to build on so it can better serve the healthcare needs of communities across Africa.

The company took to LinkedIn to make the announcement, the post read, “We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve closed our pre-seed round of funding led by Microtraction with participation from Angels & some of our early customers. When we started building Famasi Africa, it was due to a first-hand experience of the struggles people had with refilling their medications. Often, there were long queues in hospitals and it wasn’t uncommon to find patients moving from First-Line Therapy to second and sometimes, third.”

The company also said that the follow-up was almost impossible because the burden was huge and the frustrations of not getting better led many patients to unorthodox methods that ended up damaging their organs and worsening the case. In building Famasi with a patient-first approach, the company discovered how fragmented managing recurrent medications is, which is why it started building its own in-house infrastructure to improve patient outcomes. Famasi Africa is committed to leveraging technology and data to create amazing customer experiences and better serve the needs of its customers.

“With this new funding, we’ll be able to expand our platform, improve customer experiences, and build the needed tools to support our vision of the pharmaceutical care experience that everyone deserves. We’re humbled and ecstatic to have the support of our investors and partners in this mission, and we’re excited to continue to make meaningful progress in the African pharmacy space.” the company concluded.
