Drip Group Founder Lekau Sehoana Opens Up About Failing In Business For 16 Years! South African entrepreneur and founder of the Drip Group Lekau Sehoana took to Twitter to share that he has been in business for 20 years and 16 of those years consisted of multiple business failures.

The post read, “I have so many business Failure stories than i have of success. I have been in business for 20 Years now, 16 Years of those, pure Failure. I’ve paid School fees and still paying today. What has Failure taught you? The Entrepreneur School Fees.”

Establishing a business is not something that is easy, it is even more difficult to establish a business that becomes highly successful as there are a lot of hurdles and challenges that entrepreneurs face throughout their journey. These challenges may cause them to innovate and come up with solutions but other challenges can be very detrimental to the business and therefore causing it to close down. With the many challenges he has faced throughout his entrepreneurship journey, Lekau Sehoana has shown that he is the type of entrepreneur that does not quit or give up. Failing in businesses can cause a lot of people to give up on themselves as their self confidence would take a hit, Lekau Sehoana however saw his failures as lessons and that allowed him to keep going and to keep creating new business ideas.

“It took a lot for me to build this, but there’re four things that always Stand out… 1. The DREAM 2. The PRODUCT 3. The STORY 4. And FAITH Of course i have a Vision, of course i persevered, of course I’m blessed and very lucky. But, Having this dream and going ahead to build a product, whilst telling my Story with faith and belief that it would work out. That’s what’s holding me down. And that’s the Recipe for me. Some might not get the Vision, but many along the journey, will buy into it. DRIP, THE STORY CONTINUES!!!!!” he said in another post.

It took Lekau to have a lot of failures in order for his business to reach the level of success it has reach today. Out of 180 000 brands in the world that go through the Process, only 100 Brands make it to the Top 100 Most Admired Brands in Africa and DRIP managed to secure the 65th place on the list. A position the brand got after 3 years of its existence and out of 100, only 7 are South African Brands. This shows that it may take multiple failures before one succeeds, one just has to keep going and not let failure make them quit or give up.
