Famous Brands Coffee Company Acquires Nexus Foodservice Concepts’ Technical Service Division. Famous Brands Coffee Company (Pty) Ltd has acquired Nexus Foodservice Concepts’ (Pty) Ltd technical service division. Nexus has been operating for over 25 years in the South African coffee industry, supplying leading brand coffee equipment and providing maintenance services and spare parts. Following the transaction, Michael Demetriou, MD of Nexus, says that the company will now be focused solely on the sale of an expanded range of quality coffee machines to its customers.
Brian Best, Managing Executive of Famous Brands Coffee Company, stated that as the company was already a supplier of premium coffee and coffee machines to the office, restaurant and catering markets, it saw the opportunity to offer its clients an integrated service offering that includes coffee, equipment, and now, technical support. He added that clients can order a coffee machine, have it installed, serviced and maintained by the same company that can then supply their coffee and associated barista aids such as water filters, tampers, shot glasses, thermometers and frothing jugs.
“Having one number to call for anything coffee related, makes running a café, restaurant or office coffee service, that much easier” he says. As one of South Africa’s largest coffee roasters, and with the credibility of being part of the Famous Brands Group, Famous Brands Coffee Company clients can rest assured that they are going to get the best value and service reliability they need as a result of this transaction.
The company is now able to service Bras, Bravilor, Casadio, Cimbali, Fetco, Gaggia, La Marzocco, Mythos, Nuova Simonelli, Pilot, Queen, Saeco, San Remo, Schaerer and Wega equipment, along with the sale of a complete range of spare part for these brands.
