How Anele Mdoda Popularized PRIME Hydration drink In South Africa

Hydration and energy drinks have become increasingly popular in recent years, with many individuals turning to them for a quick boost of energy and hydration. One drink that has gained significant traction in South Africa is PRIME Hydration Drink, which is owned by Prime Hydration. The drink has been promoted by two of YouTube’s biggest creators, Logan Paul and KSI, who have a combined following of over 47 million subscribers. However, it was South African radio and television personality Anele Mdoda who played a significant role in popularising the drink in the country.

Anele Mdoda is a well-known media personality in South Africa with a large following on social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. It was on Twitter that Anele first posted a photo of the PRIME Hydration drink with a caption that read “Parent Twitter. You know this?” And another tweet which read “ I said we are in kak #aneleandtheclubon947“ quickly gained traction and collectively reached over 1 million people. This sparked a conversation on social media about the drink, with many people curious about it.

Anele further popularised the drink by discussing it on her radio show on Radio 947. During the show, she shared her experience of buying the drink for her son. At the time, the drink was quite expensive, costing around R500. However, after her endorsement, the drink became more widely available and is now sold at Checkers for R40, making it more affordable and accessible to a wider audience.
