Market Café Restaurant Closes Down Due To Loadshedding
Market Café Restaurant Closes Down Due To Loadshedding. Durban based restaurant Market Café has announced that it will be closing down due to loadshedding. The company took to Instagram to make the announcement.
The post read, “Dear faithfuls It is undoubtedly, with a saddened heart, that we inform you of our closure. The 21st May will be our last trading day. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your support and love through the best of times, and the most difficult of times. Unfortunately, loadshedding is one of the difficulties we cannot escape. We look forward to hosting you until the last hour. With gratitude from our hearts to yours. Team Market 🙏🏽🦩💛”
Market Café was a world-class garden café/restaurant, situated in a quiet courtyard behind a classic 1930’s colonial building at the foot of Durban’s Berea in Gladys Mazibuko Road. Market serves simple quality cuisine using locally and/or organically sourced ingredients in a professional, unique, and caring environment. Market is also known for its selection of award-winning South African wines, freshly squeezed fruit juices and coffee.
Loadshedding has been able to negatively affect a lot of businesses in South Africa. Businesses can not perform at an optimum level in order for the company to thrive, they are limited in terms of when they can be productive as they work around the loadshedding schedules. Due to this some businesses have been forced to close down as they are not generating enough income/profit when there is no loadshedding inorder to keep the business afloat.
The restaurant said in another post, “Wowwww!!!!! We are overwhelmed by the kindness projected towards our beautiful restaurant. Reading everyone’s comments of support and memories warms our heart in an unimaginable way. Thank you 20 x the ocean. 🙏🏽 In the spirit of our much enjoyed restaurant we would like you to please post your memories and tag us to it. Let it be a week of reminiscing. 💛🦩💛 @shorter.perspectives thank you for the suggestion 🙏”
