Invicta is pleased to announce that the company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Euro Driveshaft Limited, which forms part of its Replacement Parts Auto – Agri business segment, has acquired 100% of the share capital of Imexpart Limited in the United Kingdom.

Established in 1986, Imex is a leading independent truck parts distributor offering a genuine alternative to the franchised network. Invicta’s strategic focus is to diversify into new geographical areas, in the industries and markets in which Invicta has significant experience and strong management capabilities. Imex is operating successfully in the British and Irish aftermarket parts distribution industry and its acquisition provides a platform for Invicta to grow its global RPA business. The company aims to realise synergies through Invicta’s procurement capabilities, sourcing inventory for Imex’s clients on a more cost effective basis, and providing access to a broader range of products. In addition, Imex has product ranges which can be cross-pollenated into Invicta’s existing operations.

Invicta Holdings listed on the JSE in 1989 and acquired Invicta Bearings Proprietary Limited in 1991. Bearings quickly became Invicta’s core business and the unrelated companies that initially formed part of the Group were sold. During the nineties various companies were added to the Group, including Autobax, Northmec, and CSE. In July 2000 Invicta acquired Bearing Man and completed a significant share repurchase program over the five years that followed.
