Symphonise Consulting Becomes South Africa’s First Accredited Training Organisation To Offer Complete Suite Of FitSM® Qualifications. Symphonise Consulting (Pty) Ltd is proud to announce its recent accreditation as South Africa’s first Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) to offer the complete suite of FitSM® qualifications. This remarkable achievement further solidifies the company’s position as a leader in IT Service Management training and consulting.
This new accolade is a second first for Symphonise Consulting, who was also the first ATO in South Africa to offer the APMG accredited ISO/IEC 27001 Auditor qualification. FitSM is a lightweight IT service management framework that provides best practice guidelines for implementing and improving IT service management.
FitSM is based on deliverables of FedSM, a project funded in the 7th Framework Program for Research and Technological Development by the European Union. The original aim of FedSM was to “increase maturity and effectiveness of Service Management in federated e-Infrastructures by applying suitable good practices.”
FitSM is considered more flexible and agile than other frameworks like ITIL, focusing on just the essential elements needed for effective IT service management. It contains core guides around service delivery, service design, service transition and service control & improvement. FitSM helps organizations implement just enough process and structure to achieve IT service quality without excessive bureaucracy. Its lightweight nature makes it easier for companies to adopt. Overall, FitSM provides a practical approach to ITSM tailored for small and medium-sized businesses, and a faster route to value for large enterprises.
