TV BRICS Starts Co-operation With Umthala TV. The international network is expanding its partner network on the African continent. Thus, TV BRICS has been joined by a new partner from South Africa – Umthala TV digital television channel, which broadcasts in all eleven languages of South Africa.
From 1 November, TV BRICS programmes and films will be broadcast on Umthala TV. On Wednesday, the channel will premiere the documentary Gold. Further daily cyclical programmes will be broadcast, namely “Checklist”, “Language of Dance”, “Personal Trainer”, “Cultural Code”, TV BRICS documentaries “More Precious than Gold”, “Magadan Silver”, “Dostoevsky Intercontinental”. Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS, emphasised that Africa is a strategically important area for the media network. “Africa is now at the centre of everyone’s attention. In July 2023, the Russia-Africa Summit was held in St. Petersburg, and the XV BRICS Summit was held in South Africa this summer, where six countries, including Egypt and Ethiopia, were invited to join the association.
