How Drive-thru Cinema Seeks To Enhance Cultural Cohesion In Previously Disadvantaged Communities. Drive-thru Cinema is a 100% black owned company serving in both the public and private sectors. The company strives to provide superior services at all times through endowing its clients with excellent service at all times; innovative ideas concepts and seamless through conceptual design, planning, organisation and management of goods and service.

Pioneered by Linda Ginya, a former radio DJ at YFM as the host of Ydidi youth and the entrepreneur show. He started at Eldos Fm, a community radio station where he did a year and later moved to Y academy as an intern. Linda possesses a high level of expertise in concept events media agency, content creations, voice overs and Film. He was mentored by Akin Omotoso and he has a passion to share the skill and knowledge with other creative youth through seamless campaigns Ekasi fusing content through Music Film photography video and arts with local media personalities.

The company’s mission is to create unique job opportunities for the youth, promote educational dialogue through positive, entertaining yet informative ways. It’s vision is to create a culture of movies goers in previously disadvantaged communities, create access to equitable and quality services on local film and increase revenue in the domestic market were its currently facing a global pandemic. The company also seeks to develop, enhance and facilitate cultural cohesion among previously disadvantaged communities especially in Gauteng and other parts of South Africa with no access to the cinema.

To celebrate women’s month and the incredible female filmmakers behind it, the company brought their short films in an outdoor evening cinema like no other and it announced its partnership with Behind Her Lens Visuals to bring its clients the ‘Women in Film: Drive Thru Cinema’ event.
