Chambers notes that Webber Wentzel’s Real Estate practice “stands out for its expertise and knowledge. The team shows the ability to find solutions, rather than just reciting the law”.

In addition, the firm’s success extends beyond practice areas and recognises the talent of its lawyers. For the third consecutive year, Webber Wentzel’s Senior Partner, Christo Els, has achieved the coveted title of ‘Eminent Practitioner’ in Capital Markets: Equity and Corporate/M&A. Meanwhile Dario Milo was named ‘Star Individual’ in Media & Broadcasting, reflecting his experience in handling constitutional challenges as well as tax, information law and data privacy-related disputes. The Chambers Global rankings welcome Ashford Nyatsumba, a partner in the firm’s Investment Funds practice, who has been newly ranked in the Band 3 category. Ashford’s ranking is a response to high praise from clients and peers for his depth of knowledge relating to the formation and establishment of Africa-focused private equity funds.

Several other lawyers have witnessed advancements in their rankings, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to client excellence. These include Khurshid Fazel (from Band 2 to Band 1), Peter Grealy (from Band 2 to Band 1), Vlad Movshovich (from Band 4 to Band 3), Lilia Franca (from Band 5 to Band 4), and Lisa Swaine (from Band 3 to Band 2.
