Free Entrepreneurship Academy To Start And Grow Local Businesses. The City of Ekurhuleni, in partnership with The Start Up Tribe, has launched the Ekurhuleni Entrepreneurship Academy to offer a course tailored to help start and grow local businesses.
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to take advantage of the free online course that is bursting with 19 self-paced modules designed to help start-ups and alleviate existing businesses. “Entrepreneurship provides a means to address unemployment by fostering innovations that will drive the country’s economic growth, and the online course is a stepping stone. “We believe that through a programmatic and systematic skills development model residents will be equipped with tools that will empower them to take control of their destinies and generate employment opportunities,” explains the City’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
Industrialists who register for the course will gain insight into how to handle business finances, understand the entrepreneurial lifecycle, how to find investors and explore over 250 business ideas to choose from. The course is accessible on https://www.thestartuptribe.org/pages/ekurhuleni and will be available for 36 months, which is the duration of the contract between the City of Ekurhuleni and The Start Up Tribe.
